Master Effects SF72 Peavey Super Festival Preamp

Master Effects SF72 Peavey Super Festival Preamp, boxed.

"This is the SF72 - our interpretation of the vintage 1972 Peavey F800B Super Festival amplifier made famous by Jesse from Death From Above 1979.

The pedal uses a standard boss-style 9V power supply. There is internal circuitry to generate  33V power to the transistors. This gives incredible dynamic range and punch to your tone.

Controls include: Distortion, Volume, Master, Treble, Middle, and Bass.  The Treble/MIddle/Bass controls are an active boost/cut EQ as on the original amp.  The Distortion control the amount of distortion.  The volume control adjusts the signal level going into the tone stack.  During the design of the pedal, we noticed that changing the post control to make the pedal output higher also resulted in a change in the tone and character of the distortion, so we added a Master volume control to help keep the tone you like with the post control but be able adjust the output volume.

We took the 3-position slope switch form the original amp (Flat/100Hz/150Hz) and got rid of the 150Hz roll off since it cut too much bass to be useful.

Each pedal uses a professionally assembled PCB and is proudly assembled by hand in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Other features include:

  -  True bypass

  -  Alpha 16mm potentiometers

  -  Lumberg power connector

  -  Professional high quality FR4 PCB

  -  Powdercoated enclosure

  -  UV Printed artwork

The end result is high quality pedals that sound amazing, are consistent from pedal-to-pedal."
