Fender Stratocaster Sunburst Refinish 1962

1962 Fender Stratocaster, a seriously cracking player's grade pre-CBS guitar with tonnes of vibe. Slab board! Made right at the tail of slab board production too, meaning this is one of the last to have a wonderful slab Brazilian board. It comes with the original matching instruction manual, which is very rarely seen - complete with matching serial on it. A killer player, sounds superb and is a wonderful weight at 7.5lbs.

This one has some stories, leading to the friendlier price - the guitar has been fully refinished a long long time ago, there is overspray on the neck and over the original decal, which remains on the guitar. There has been a humbucker route in the neck position and the middle pickup is a Seymour Duncan SSL-1 vintage pickup. Plastics are non-original as are electrics/switch.

Now for the original bits! The guitar has two original pickups still installed (it's possible they may have used the middle pickup in the neck position now), the bridge is original along with the patent pending saddles, string tree, machine heads and strap button. Has a different nut on it currently but the original is included, along with original tremolo arm. Includes a NOHSC.
