Bondi Effects Sick As Overdrive MKII

Bondi Effects Sick As Overdrive MKII, in very good used condition. Boxed.

"Looking for a crystal clear, organic overdrive that sounds like your amp but more of it? Then the Bondi Effects Sick As Overdrive MKII may be the pedal for you!

The Sick As can operate in three different modes; clean boost, low gain or high gain. Turn the gain knob all the way down and you are in clean boost mode. As the gain is increased, overdrive is gradually mixed in to the clean signal until it is completely overdriven. This booster is so transparent in fact, that if the EQ and level knobs are set at noon, you will not be able to tell the difference between your bypassed and effected tone. The low gain and high gain modes can be selected with the toggle switch. Up for high gain and down for low gain. The high gain mode is a more compressed overdrive that is reminiscent of a vintage Tweed amplifier, while the low gain mode is a very transparent and open sounding lower gain overdrive with a little more bass content.

The tone controls are active and function in all three modes. Inspired by an old HiFi circuit, Bondi Effects carefully tuned each band to the ideal voicings for electric guitar. When set at noon they are flat; turn them clockwise and you boost the frequency up to 15dB, counter clockwise and you cut up to 15dB. This versatility not only allows you to cut through in a mix but also to fine tune the overdrive for different guitars or amplifiers. Fatten up single coils to make them full and rich, or brighten humbuckers to make them sparkle and shine."
